Single Tooth
Dental implants are a customized system for restoring missing teeth that match the aesthetic and function of your natural smile. Our implants consist of three parts: the implant fixture which holds the implant in place on your jawbone, the abutment which is used to connect the fixture to your restoration, and the permanent crown which is the only part of the implant that your friends and family will see. Together, they create this revolutionary solution for your smile.
At Gentle Dental, we can utilize dental implants with an array of restorative procedures. For example, a single dental implant can be used to replace a gap in your smile caused by missing teeth. This process generally takes two office visits to complete:
- 1st Visit: Dr. Anderson will surgically place the implant fixture on your jawbone, and set a temporary crown over the prepared tooth to protect it while you heal.
- 2nd Visit: Once your mouth has had time to heal and the implant to ossify (a process that bonds the implant and your jawbone), Dr. Anderson will place your permanent porcelain crown restoration.
Multiple Tooth
If you’re missing more than one tooth, we can use dental implants to restore your smile to its original glory. For non-adjacent missing teeth, Dr. Anderson might recommend using multiple single-tooth implants. Likewise, patients with damaged teeth in need of a crown may benefit from dental implants due to their durability.
For patients experiencing adjacent tooth loss, our team at Gentle Dental can utilize dental implants alongside another one of our restorative procedures: fixed dental bridges. Fixed dental bridges use multiple dental implants and crowns on either side to anchor the bridge to your natural teeth. As with single tooth implants, we can complete the procedure over the course of two office visits.
Full Arch
Are you tired of your dentures sliding around while you eat, drink, and socialize? Alternatively, maybe you’re missing most or all of your teeth and want to feel confident again. If so, we have an option that’ll restore how your smile looks, feels, and functions. Full-arch dental implants provide the stability that traditional dentures can’t while maintaining a stunning appearance for your smile.
Dr. Anderson uses dental implants to secure a prosthetic arch of teeth. He does this by placing four or more implants on an arch in your mouth and then connects your new prosthetic. With this revolutionary full-arch restoration, you’ll leave our office with a beautiful, fully functioning temporary restoration after just one visit.
Once your mouth finishes the healing process, you’ll return to our Gunnison office so Dr. Anderson can place your permanent prosthetic. With an aesthetically pleasing smile, you’ll be ecstatic to show your friends and family.
